    The Leprosy Mission was founded in 1874 as ‘The Mission to Lepers’ by an Irishman named Wellesley Cosby Bailey, in Ambala, India. Subsequently in 1973, The Leprosy Mission Trust India (TLMTI) was registered as a Society under the Societies Registration Act of 1860. TLMTI is the largest leprosy-focused non-governmental organisation in India and is headquartered in New Delhi, India. The organisation works with people affected by leprosy and other neglected tropical diseases (NTDs), people with disabilities, and marginalised communities, especially women. TLMTI has a diverse set of programmes – Healthcare, Sustainable Livelihood, Community Empowerment, Advocacy, and Research and Training.     Job Summary: Under the direction of Head- Knowledge Management, performs duties associated with coordinating and implementing operational research/ laboratory-based studies and/or projects of The Leprosy Mission Trust India.

    Roles and responsibilities:
    (i) Carry out project activities as directed by the research Scientist / Research Coordinator
    (ii) Carry out field work/visits to ensure implementation of projects as per the standard operating procedures and are on schedule
    (iii) Carry out the literature search and make summary as directed by the supervisor
    (iv) Assist in developing projects and manuscript writing
    (v) Assist in creating database as per the data collection form
    (vi) Maintenance of records of collected data, do data entry and analysis
    (vii) To help the Research Scientists/Social Scientist/Research Coordinator for maintenance of inventory and stocks

    Educational qualification and skills requirement
    – Postgraduate degree in life science / social science / public health
    – Graduate with 2 years’ experience in working with the research projects / project management
    – Proficient in computer skills in creating documents with tables and figures, manage large data sets in excel or statistical software and make presentations
    – Experience in working with statistical software is preferable
