ABOUT THE VOCATIONAL TRAINING CENTRE

TLM Faizabad Vocational Training Centre was established in 2001.

The Methodist Mission built a home for leprosy patients thrown out of their homes in Faizabad, in 1938. Mr M. Hallett, Governor of North Province, inaugurated the leprosy asylum on August 17, in the same year. Afterwards, the Mission to Lepers (now, the Leprosy Mission Trust India) took over the leprosy asylum.

In 2001, The Leprosy Mission Trust India started the vocational training centre to provide vocational education to young boys and girls cured of leprosy or whose parents/siblings were affected by leprosy to prepare them for a trade or craft for livelihood.
