The Union Cabinet has cleared The Personal Laws (Amendment) Bill, 2018, on August 1, 2018, seeking to amend the following Acts:
1) The Divorce Act, 1869
2) The Dissolution of Muslim Marriages Act, 1939
3) The Hindu Marriage Act, 1955
4) The Special Marriage Act, 1954
5) The Hindu Adoptions and Maintenance Act, 1956
