The Leprosy Mission Trust India’s (TLMTI) WEALTH project (Women’s Empowerment through Advocacy, Livelihood Training and Health) organised a gender awareness programme, in partnership with District Legal Service Authority, in Pakariyapur village of Fatehpur Block, Barabanki, Uttar Pradesh, on January 29.

In continuation of the Anti-Leprosy Day celebrations, The Leprosy Mission Trust India’s (TLMTI) Kothara Community Hospital, in Kothara, Maharashtra, in partnership with the Assistant Director of Health Services, Amravati district, Maharashtra, organised a blood donation camp at the hospital, on January 31. A total of 35 people, including 20 persons with disabilities, donated blood in this camp.

The Leprosy Mission Trust India’s (TLMTI) hospitals, vocational training centres and community development projects across the country celebrated Anti-Leprosy Day (January 30), organising various programmes for raising awareness and educating the public on leprosy, with much gusto. These programmes were organised in partnership with the district government officials, local NGOs, educational institutions, local communities, and people affected by leprosy.

On the occasion of the Anti-Leprosy Day yesterday (January 30), all TLMTI units in Maharashtra (TLM Kothara hospital, Miraj hospital, Nashik VTC, IHDID project, NLEP-support project) jointly celebrated the day at Nashik VTC, under the aegis of the Directorate of Health Services, Nashik.

The Leprosy Mission Trust India’s (TLMTI) PARTI project and SOAR project organised a leprosy awareness rally in Chidambaram, Tamil Nadu, on January 24.
