Through its Skills Training for Sustainable Livelihoods, TLMTI provides accessible, affordable, and government-accredited training that leads to higher employability and sustainable income generation. This not only empowers individuals economically but also restores their dignity by enabling them to become contributing members of society.

TLMTI SKILL TRAINING CENTRE, NOIDA

The Leprosy Mission Trust India (TLMTI) has a strong presence in the Delhi NCR region, with a well-established Community Hospital in Shahdara, Northeast Delhi, serving both leprosy-affected individuals and the general population. Building on this foundation, TLMTI expanded its outreach by establishing the TLMTI Skill Training Centre (STC) in Sector 62, Noida, in 2024.

Recognized by the National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC), the Centre provides high-quality, institutional training through a combination of modern infrastructure, experienced trainers, and dedicated placement support, helping students build pathways to sustainable livelihoods.

The Rotary TLMTI STC supports sustainable livelihoods through:

• Technical Skills Training in government-recognized courses.
• Job readiness and business development skills, including personality development, entrepreneurship, and workplace ethics.
• Placement support for both waged employment and self-employment.
• Career counselling and mentorship to guide students toward long-term success.

Annual Reach and Impact:

• Up to 240 students trained each year across Computer IT, Cosmetology, Fashion Designing, and Smartphone Technician courses
• At least 60–70% of trainees from highly marginalized groups (leprosy-affected families, persons with disabilities, women, and low-income households)
• Improved course completion rates and job placement/self-employment outcomes due to enhanced engagement, conceptual clarity, and confidence in using technology
