Meet Sukrita and Rakhi, the 2 Unbeatable Girls
Sukrita Sahu and Rakhi Yadav have one thing in common – life treated both of them badly in their childhood, but they refused to be defeated.
They were born in families that found it extremely difficult to make ends meet. Adding to their troubles was, both Sukrita and Rakhi were affected by leprosy when they were children. But the challenge of leprosy never stopped them from dreaming big. Both wanted a good career and support their parents. As they looked around for opportunities, somebody told them about The Leprosy Mission Trust India’s vocational training centre in Champa, Chhattisgarh. Sukrita and Rakhi opted for a course in computer training. A year after the training, the youngsters got jobs at an automobile agency in Korba, Chhattisgarh.
Their dream of supporting their parents came true, as they started to save money from their monthly salary of Rs 7,000, to send home to their parents. Even as they continue to work hard towards becoming more and more financially independent, Sukrita and Rakhi, the unbeatable youngsters, look forward to a life full of happiness.
Perhaps, the wise person who said, “Life is like a boxing match, where defeat is declared not when you fall, but when you refuse to stand again,” had these unbeatable girls in mind!
