Functional adult literacy TLMTI builds capacity of its staff for better delivery

The Leprosy Mission Trust India’s (TLMTI) Women’s Empowerment through Education, Advocacy, Livelihoods Training and Health (WEALTH) project organised a two-day workshop on adult literacy teaching methodology for its staff and staff of TLMTI’s S, in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, from April 26 to 27. Mr O.P. Chaurasia and Mr Sudhakar Mansingh from Literacy House, an institution that promotes adult literacy through training and capacity building, based in Lucknow, conducted the workshop as the resource persons. Thirteen project staff and 46 volunteers took part in the workshop.

The purpose of the training was to provide a conceptual understanding of adult literacy, and developing skills of staff and volunteers on adult literacy teaching methodology and its process.
