You may be surprised to know that 135,485 new cases of leprosy detected in India in 2017 and out of that close to 9% are children!
Niranjan admitted at our hospital in Shahdara at the tender age of 11 and
he has suffered more hardships than most people do in their entire lives. Leprosy has not only left its cruel marks on his young body, but his
innocent heart too has been numbed by the discrimination he has faced.
While for Guddi, 13, apart from the physical suffering, her visible deformities have also invited heart-breaking derision from her classmates.
Our experienced doctors are at the job and trying to give these children
a second chance in their life.
