The Leprosy Mission Trust India’s (TLMTI) Women’s Empowerment through Advocacy, Livelihood Training and Health (WEALTH) project organised a gender sensitisation programme, in partnership with District Legal Service Authority (a statutory body constituted under the Legal Services Authorities Act 1987, for providing free legal services to the citizens), in Isroli village, in Barabanki district of Uttar Pradesh, on March 17.

A total of 550 women and 50 men from nearby villages took part in the programme, which was conducted to create awareness on gender equality among women and sensitise men to gender issues.

Hon’ble Shri Sanjay Yadav, Judge and Secretary of District Legal Service Authority, Barabanki, spoke about the legal rights of women and the remedies for rights violations.
