A day of learning and merry-making for members of Children’s Parliaments
KOTHARA (MAHARASHTRA): April 24 was a day of learning and merry-making for members of Children’s Parliaments in Amravati district of Maharashtra. The Leprosy Mission Trust India’s IHDID project (Inclusive Holistic Development of Individuals with Disabilities) organised a summer camp in Chikhaldara, Maharashtra, for members of 19 Children’s Parliaments, where 195 children attended (of them, 26 were children with various disabilities).
Prime Ministers of these Children’s Parliaments shared what they have done in past one year. Some of their achievements are: making their villages clean and open defecation-free, creating leprosy awareness, solving the water problem in their villages, and advocating for inclusive education.
The participants of the camp learned a lot from others’ experience and played a lot.
